Common Bathroom Remodeling Questions
Still have a question? Call Bryant Builder at (831) 713-0187 and we will talk it through with you.
How much does a bathroom remodel cost?
Cost moves with the layout you choose, the materials you pick, and how much of the existing bathroom you change. A fresh update takes less work than a complete overhaul that reworks the layout, plumbing and electrical. Tile, countertops, flooring, fixtures and custom cabinetry all shift it too. We go through your vision, needs and budget at the initial consultation, and the quote is free.
How long does a bathroom remodel take?
It depends on the scope. What sets the calendar is how much is being moved rather than replaced, how quickly your selections are locked in, and whether anything has to be special ordered. Plan on the bathroom being out of use from demolition through installation, which matters if it is the only one in the house. We give you a schedule after the walkthrough, once scope and selections are settled.
Do you handle the plumbing and electrical, or do I need to hire a plumber and an electrician myself?
We handle it. Our bathroom remodels cover everything from demolition to installation, including plumbing and electrical work, custom cabinetry and tile installation. You are not lining up a plumber and an electrician separately. One licensed contractor holds the whole job: you work directly with owner Mike Bryant, and our CSLB license number, 1109802, is published in the footer of every page. We finish with a final walkthrough and a one-year finish warranty.
Will I need a permit for my bathroom remodel, and who deals with it?
That depends on what your remodel involves. Some bathroom work needs a building permit and some does not, and the answer comes down to the scope of the job. We manage the permitting process with you and coordinate it alongside the build, so it is handled as part of the project rather than left on your plate. The permit question is settled during planning.
Do I have to pick out the tile and fixtures myself, or do you help with that?
You are not left to pick it all out alone. Design and material selection is a step in our process, and we guide you through it, offering advice on the best options for your style and budget. A bathroom takes water and daily use, so that advice leans toward finishes chosen for durability as well as looks, tile and fixtures included. The final choice is yours.
I am outside Watsonville. Will you take on a single bathroom?
Yes. Bryant Builder is based in Watsonville and remodels bathrooms in Aptos, Santa Cruz, Monterey and the surrounding areas. Every project, big or small, is handled with the same care, so a single bathroom is worth calling about, not just a whole house remodel. Call (831) 713-0187 and tell us what you have in mind.
