Common Questions from Aptos Homeowners
Still have a question? Call Bryant Builder at (831) 713-0187 and we will talk it through with you.
How much will a remodel in Aptos cost?
Every project prices differently, so cost comes down to the size of the work, the materials and finishes you pick, and how much design your plan calls for. Budget is discussed at the first consultation, along with your goals and needs, so decisions are made with your budget in view. It helps to know the ceiling you do not want to cross and which parts of the wish list are optional. The consultation and the quote are free.
How long will my project in Aptos take?
We do not publish project durations, and we will not guess at yours before we understand the scope. Material lead times, permitting, and the design decisions you make all move the date, as does the condition of what is already there. We give you a schedule after the walkthrough, and we keep you informed and involved throughout the project.
Who handles the permits on my project?
We do. If your project needs permits, we manage that process with you. Our design team works out the plan with you, floor plans and material selection included, and we keep the paperwork moving alongside the build. We cannot promise how any agency will respond, so bring the question to the free initial consultation and we will talk it through.
How do I find out if my Aptos property is in the Coastal Zone?
Give us the property address when we meet for your free consultation and we check it, so you are not left researching it yourself. Whether a home sits inside the state Coastal Zone is a parcel by parcel question. Some parcels near the coast are inside it, and work on such a parcel can need a coastal development permit in addition to the normal building permit, not instead of it. We handle the coordination.
Who will I be working with, and how do I check your license?
You work directly with the owner, Michael Bryant, on your project. Bryant Builder is based in Watsonville and serves Aptos, Santa Cruz, Monterey, and the surrounding areas, with over a decade of experience in the construction industry. Our CSLB license number 1109802 is published in the footer of every page, so you can check it yourself. Hours are Monday through Saturday, 7:00 am to 5:30 pm, closed Sunday.
Do you take on smaller projects, or only whole home builds?
Both. We take on projects of all sizes in Aptos, from minor updates to complete overhauls, including kitchens, bathrooms, additions, full remodels, and custom homes. A smaller job runs through the same four steps as a large one: consultation, design and material selection, construction, and a final walkthrough before we call it complete. The quote is free either way.
